The Princeton to Summerland leg of the KVR is a popular route for cyclists and bike-packers. Not far out of Summerland, the keen eye will spot a peculiar item in the forest not far off the main trail.


As seen in the above photo, the car says “Lillooet” on it. There is surely more to the history but I suspect the car was acquired for use in the Summerland KVS Railway (only preserved section of the historic Kettle Valley Railway Line). The reason it was taken out of service and left abandoned on the tracks is a story that someone would surely be able to share.
