The Eagle River runs along the Trans-Canada highway from the Monashee Mountains down past Sicamous, BC and finally exits at Shuswap Lake. It makes for a fine paddle (kayak, SUP, canoe). At fast flow times of year many also float short sections.

Paddling the Eagle River

Being near the highway, there are a few spots to put into the river. For a longer paddle (say 3-5 hours), try starting at the Cambie Solsqua Bridge. For something real short, try putting in under Solsqua Sicamous road. From here you can paddle to the end of the river and return on Shuswap lake to complete a near loop (1 km jog required to return to vehicle from end).
