Lochview Trail is a little-known path which is normally found only by accident while visiting Paul’s Tomb. The trail starts far up Clifton Rd and accesses Paul’s tomb from the north. The hike is more technical than Paul’s Tomb trail with its stairways and steep sections but it offers greater rewards like sweeping views of Lake Okanagan. The trail is built along the steep slope above the lake and gives ample opportunity to gawk at the architecture of Kelowna’s ultra-rich. Like Paul’s Tomb trail, this is a good one for the whole family.
Note that this trail can be done as an extension of the Paul’s Tomb trail but it is not suitable for cycling. To make it a loop, there are trails leading up from Paul’s Tomb into the vast network of Knox Mountain trails.

This is such a beautiful hike! It’s definitely a hidden gem of Kelowna – although, I guess it’s not actually that hidden considering it’s attached to one of Kelowna’s most popular hikes ? I was a little surprised at how close the trail comes to some of the mega-mansion’s backyards, though.
You are right, definitely not hidden, but it’s surprising how few people know about it! Glad you found it too. We love how many hiking and exploring options there are right in our Okanagan backyard. 🙂
