Rimrocks was a complete surprise. After a short portion hiking up an old logging road, the trail mostly follows a ridge with great views over Creighton Valley. If that was all there was, it would be a great hike. However, 2/3 into the trail there is a (signed) offshoot where you can climb down into an out-of-this-world expanse filled with crazy rock formations. The exploring and photography options are endless.
Directions To Trailhead:
Head east out of Vernon on Hwy 6. Turn right on King Edward FSR (before Lavington). After 4km, turn left onto Brewer Road (signed). 1.5km more and you will notice the trailhead on the right and just around the corner, a parking area.
One downside to the hike is there is no loop trail back to the trailhead. It is either back the way you came or a boring walk down Brewer Rd.
