A large and popular provincial park campground (clean, reservable online, well managed) not far from Nelson. Kokanee Creek definitely has the feel of a bigger campground with lots of action in the summer. It has all the facilities – running water, showers, kids playground, flush toilets. This one books up fast and it is necessary to reserve months in advance for the best sites.
The campground is right on an arm of Kokanee lake and there is a great beach and access to many popular attractions – Nelson, Kokanee Glacier PP, and Ainsworth hot springs.
